Leavesley's two New pet Cats.....
Leavesley International took delivery on Monday of two Caterpillar 345D's tracked excavators at our Liverpool Ship Recycling site.
David Valentine shown here in the photograph was handed the keys of the two Brand New machines delivered from Caterpillar.
.
Weighing nearly 50 tons a piece they have both been fitted with Caterpillars S340B shears capable of nearly 7000kn of cutting force.
Over the next few months the dock will be emptied of water and they can then start the massive task of cutting into the thousands of tons of steel within the ships decks and hull.
